I’m Gonçalo, a somatic practitioner and musician based in Portugal, working online in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I’m also neurodivergent, and that shapes the way I work.

People often come to me when they’re stressed and overwhelmed, when they feel things more intensely than those around them (highly sensitive, autistic, ADHD, gifted, or any mix of these), or when they face a decision or a project they can’t yet put into words.

I listen to all of you, not just your words. Sometimes what matters most shows up as a feeling in your chest, an image, a movement of your hands or a long pause, and then that’s where we stay for a while. From the start, we look for what helps you feel safer and more supported, and we keep building on that. When there’s enough safety, we may gently approach what’s difficult, never more than you can manage without feeling overwhelmed. We make room for your body, or a sense you can’t yet put into words, to show us the next step.

My approach draws on Experiential Focusing (finding words, images or gestures that fit what you sense but can’t yet name), Somatic Experiencing® and the expressive arts, with neurodivergent-friendly ways of calming the nervous system, including work with all eight senses (the usual five, plus balance, body position and inner signals like hunger).

What to expect:

• A free 15-minute exploratory video call first, to see whether working together feels right. Nothing to prepare.

• Sessions of 50 minutes, online by video call: €70 per session.

These sessions are coaching and education, not psychotherapy. They can sit alongside therapy, and if I sense another practitioner would suit you better, I’ll tell you.
