About Me
I have been a practicing clinician for over 20 years. My approach to therapy is to build trusting relationships that cultivate honesty and authenticity, allowing for the deeper work to unfold. I support people to recognize their inherent wisdom, move past unhealthy patterns and heal old wounds. In the work, we focus on acquiring strategies to live in our ever changing world, developing new narratives and increasing self awareness as the path towards growth and healing. I specialize in Trauma, both current and in childhood, and all its complexities and manifestations. I also work with couples, parenting and family dynamics.
In therapy I draw upon my training, research and experience in EMDR, DBR, Cognitive Restructuring, DBT, Ego Psychology, IFS, Attachment theory, Family Systems and EFT for couples. I integrate somatic tools drawing from NARM, Somatic experiencing, and Polyvagal theory. I am a licensed bodyworker and have specialized training in Neuroaffective Touch.
I appreciate you for your commitment to yourself, to your personal growth. Feeling comfortable and safe with your therapist is important and necessary for the change process to unfold. I encourage you to reach out and contact me to see if working together in therapy feels like a good fit.
