Hi, you can call me Gao Gao (pronounced "gow gow").
I am a creative and embodied psychotherapist, offering therapy in both English and Chinese. I graduated with a Master's degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton, UK, and I am a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (ADMP UK).
I have studied or experienced various approaches in psychotherapy, including psychoanalysis, CBT, Gestalt therapy, music therapy, dance movement psychotherapy, and art therapy. My personal style integrates elements from these different approaches so as to find the most suitable method for each client. I take person-centered theoretical model, integrating creative arts (such as drawing, movement, play, drama, and music) with a focus on the body. In my practice, I focus on verbal information as well as non-verbal cues. I enjoy combining body movements with creative arts, helping clients to build physical and mental resources in a multi-dimensional way to support their mental health and well-being.
