About Me
Kimberly Erickson is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Trauma-Informed Holistic Coach whose healing journey began in 2019. As an adoptive parent and survivor of childhood attachment wounds from traumatic situations, she discovered her stored trauma after reading Bessel van der Kolk’s “The Body Keeps the Score.” This awakening revealed how she’d pushed through internal conflict, disconnected from her body. It sparked her path to reconnecting with her true self.
Today, Kimberly guides groups and individuals to befriend their body’s wisdom, build compassion for inner parts, and release bracing patterns from developmental trauma, attachment wounds, and generational burdens. Her blended approach draws from Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (Levels 1 & 2), NeuroAffective Touch (including table work), attachment theory, and the Biology of Trauma—for which she’s completed three years of training and now serves as faculty.
She lives in northern Minnesota with her husband and children, cherishing gardening, hiking, whitewater rafting, river explorations, and all things outdoors. Her lived experience includes adoption, early developmental trauma, burnout, people-pleasing, achievement-based value, and the biology of trauma.
Through Growing Harmony Within, Kimberly emphasizes group work and experiential learning:
- Tending Together: Free 30-minute Zoom gatherings for somatic and parts tending to body, mind, and spirit, with ongoing community space.
- Find Your Inner Calm: In-person workshops on the Biology of Trauma, Polyvagal Theory, and nervous system regulation.
- Targeted Workshops: Beginner-friendly sessions like Surviving the Holidays and Being Who I Want To Be; deeper dives into Dream Tending, Birth Trauma, and Befriend Your Story (90-minute small groups using Relational Trauma Repair and parts work).
- Limited 1:1 coaching available for nervous system regulation, somatic parts work, SE processing, NeuroAffective Touch, and legacy burden release.
Join her groups to learn self-compassion, attune to young parts, support sensations, set boundaries, and live authentically in safe, attuned community.
