About Me

I specialize in working with individuals navigating complex trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, betrayal, and sexual or relational behaviors. My approach weaves together EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic-based interventions to help clients process what feels “stuck,” regulate the nervous system, and build a sense of internal safety. I understand how chronic illness and physical symptoms often stem from or intensify emotional trauma, and I work with clients to integrate mind, body, and relational healing.

My clinical orientation is trauma-focused and somatically rooted, drawing on relational and psychodynamic frameworks. I am passionate about supporting clients to see and value themselves, while helping them move toward healthier intimacy and meaningful connection. Growth happens in moments of reflection, choice, and care and my role is to walk alongside you in that journey.

As a first-generation Iranian American, I deeply understand the role culture plays in shaping identity and how generational patterns influence pathways from childhood into adulthood. Through my research and work with intergenerational transmission of trauma, I explore family of origin messaging and societal expectations, including those related to gender roles and identity. I am also trained in Somatic Attachment and utilize holistic, body-based approaches to care, especially with clients navigating trauma triggers, PTSD symptoms, and complex relational wounds including partner betrayal related to sex, porn, or love addiction.

In addition to my clinical practice, I have trained organizations across the New York Metropolitan area in Person-Centered Trauma-Informed Care (PCTI), equipping professionals to better serve individuals living with trauma. My work has been featured in collaborations with CBS News, New York Magazine, Tablet Magazine, and 70 Faces Media, helping raise awareness of trauma-informed practices and the importance of healing within communities.
