About Me

David Fore, LMFT

Relational, Somatic Psychotherapy for Trauma and Connection

I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a long background in somatic awareness, yoga, and contemplative practice. I work with individuals, couples, and families seeking greater steadiness, honesty, and connection—especially when early relational trauma, chronic stress, or loss continue to shape present-day experience.

Many people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet find themselves stuck in patterns of hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, self-criticism, or relational conflict. My work focuses on how these patterns live in the body and nervous system, and how they emerge within relationship. Therapy begins by slowing down, supporting safety, and cultivating embodied presence—both internally and between people.

I integrate somatic psychotherapy, EMDR, parts work, and attachment-based family systems approaches, with focused attention to nervous system regulation and relational patterns. My work is informed by the Realization Process, emphasizing internal contact and the capacity to remain present with oneself while engaged in relationship.

In practice, this includes embodied awareness, somatic inquiry, EMDR and parts-based trauma processing, and relational interventions to support attachment repair, regulation, and intimacy.
