Senior Yoga Therapist | Trauma-Informed Consultation & Complex Case Support
A senior yoga therapist, educator, and consultant with over 25 years of experience working at the intersection of trauma-informed movement, contemplative practice, and clinical care.
I support individuals healing from complex physical, emotional, and nervous-system-based trauma, and is frequently consulted on complex or “stuck” cases where regulation, embodiment, and meaning-making are central to recovery.
I am the Founder and Director of Education at Atlas Yoga Studio and School (est. 1999) and taught extensively in post-secondary kinesiology and vocational health programs, including work with first responders in Police, Fire, and Paramedic services.
I collaborates regularly with professionals in Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Social Work, and allied health, and mentors senior yoga teachers and therapists. I have published in Yoga Journal, the IAYT, and academic texts, and I am a former board member of the Federation of Ontario Yoga Teachers.
Therapists often refer to Denise when clients are seeking not only symptom relief, but deeper regulation, agency, and embodied integration.
