As an ‘Integrative therapist’, I draw upon a combination of ideas and techniques, and I work with you as a whole person, paying attention to both the physical and psychological processes and how they are connecting together.
I am a trauma-informed, IFS-trained (Level 2), Somatic IFS (Level 3) and Brainspotting practitioner (phase 2) using neuroscience to support healing in the aftermath of trauma.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP Level 2) for working with Complex Trauma (C-PTSD) recognised by ITTI (International Trauma Training Institute) and a TIST (Trauma- Informed Stabilization Treatment) Certified Therapist. I also hold a certificate as an NLP practitioner and a Narcissistic Abuse Specialist™.
Through continued professional development courses, I have become accustomed to combining therapeutic methods, Body Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness to facilitate a reconnection with the body and self.
I am committed to delivering such interventions in a compassionate, collaborative, and inclusive way.
My training includes the Complex Trauma Certification Training Levels 1 & 2 (CCTP/ CCTP—II), Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST, Level 3), Internal Family Systems Trauma Treatment Program and the Safety & Stabilization Course (Complex Trauma Work during the 1st and 2nd phase of trauma recovery) with the Complex Trauma Institute.
I have worked within an NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service and bereavement services.
I also work with a charity specialising in supporting survivors of sexual violence and abuse, particularly survivors of child sexual abuse and trauma.
My therapeutic work is grounded in Contemporary Psychotherapy. This integrative solution-focused model combines and utilises the main models of psychotherapy, from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to Humanistic and Existential theories, as well as Ericksonian hypnosis.
